St. Philomena’s Cathedral   St. Philomena’s Cathedral, one of the tallest churches in Asia is a Catholic church that is the cathedral of the Diocese of Mysore. It is also known as the Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Philomena. It was constructed in 1936 using a Neo Gothic style and its architecture was inspired by the Cologne Cathedral in Germany.
Karanji Lake      Karanji lake is surrounded by a nature park consisting of a butterfly park and a walk-through aviary. This aviary is the biggest ‘walk-through aviary’ in India. There is also a museum, the Regional Museum of Natural History which is located on the banks of this lake.
Sand Museum   Spread over 13,500 sq ft, the Sand Sculpture Museum attracts tourists from all over. It is the only museum in India that is dedicated to sand sculptures. The nearly 150 sculptures in this museum have been carved out of 115 lorry loads of sand.
Chamundi Hills            Chamundi Hills is located 13 km east of Mysore. Its average elevation is 1,000 metres (3,300 ft). Named after goddess Chamundi, the Chamundeshwari Temple sits atop the main hill. The main hill itself features an ancient stone stairway of 1,008 steps leading to its summit.
Shukavana Bird Watching According to Guinness World record, the Shukavana bird home in Mysuru has set a record for the most bird species in an aviary. The striking 50-metre high free-flight aviary has around 2,100 colourful residents, of 468 different species.
