We’re now on Google Maps!

Swear by Google maps? Then we’ve got some excellent news for you! Next time you’re looking for directions to your destination on Google Maps, you can see the closest Ola cab to take you there.

In a blog post, Google recently announced their integration with Ola. Here’s an excerpt.

When you search for directions using the latest version of Google Maps on your mobile, we’ll show you a dedicated tab with information for cab services—in addition to the existing driving, public transport, or walking options you’re familiar with. Next time you’re leaving work to meet a friend for dinner, or heading to a client meeting in a new city, you’ll be able to compare all your commuting options right from within the Google Maps app.

Tap on the car services section of the Google map and you can now view the closest Ola cabs right there, along with estimated trip cost to your destination. You can choose from our wide range of services, from Ola Micro, Ola Mini, or Ola Prime and pick the ride based on your preference.

Once you choose your ride, it will kick-start the Ola app on your phone and you can book an Ola and get going!

Google has rolled this new feature on the Google maps app for Android starting March 16, and it will be coming very soon to iOS.

We’re very excited to announce this feature because it takes us one step closer to our vision of enabling mobility to 1 billion Indians.

Ride on!
